Andrew Joaquin

Andrew Joaquin was born and raised in Calgary.  Andrew’s experience with Alberta basketball ranges from playing community and club basketball as a youngster, to Jr. High and High School basketball.   After High School he continued his basketball career with the men's varsity team at SAIT.  His post-secondary basketball career was cut short due to an unfortunate injury but Andrew’s college experience helped him focus on the little things:  rehabilitation, nutrition, and a balance between workouts and rest.  Andrew believes these are a few key pieces to achieving success at any high level of competition.

I.S.S.A certified, with over three years of youth and adolescence training and development experience,  Andrew has developed a well-rounded understanding of the different progress rates acquired by individual children and youth.  A self-proclaimed basketball junkie and a student of the game, Andrew is dedicated to never stop learning and developing as a player.  He wants to use his experience to coach and help better further the development of basketball in Alberta.

“Good, better, best.  Never let it rest.  Until your good is better and your better is best.” – The “Big Fundamental” Tim Duncan #21 SAS
