Mozanga Ekwalanga

Coach Mozanga has been with CYDC since early 2012, first as a player and then as a coach. She has coached Beginners House League as well as the high school girls elite and development teams. Although she only played her first year of club in 2012 at CYDC, by that summer she had her first offer to play at a college in Calgary. It was her goal to play in the CIS and she worked her way up, playing her first two years in the ACAC and her final three in the CIS.
Mozanga’s experience playing at the post-secondary level is something that sets her apart and she is able to run practices that mimic the intensity and skill work of a university practice. She believes that team chemistry on and off the court is key and hopes that through basketball, young athletes will learn skills they can use for the rest of their lives.
